In investigating the user with outlook 2016, i discovered the options were grayed out if the reg key was set - removing them and setting another key seemed to fix it - see if this works for you:HKEYCURRENTUSERSOFTWAREPoliciesMicrosoftoffice14.0outlookSecurity'promptoomaddressinformationaccess'=dword:00000002'promptoomaddressbookaccess'=dword:00000002.

I was assisted by Microsoft to run a repair on Outlook by going to Apps & Features (Windows 10) & finding the relevant program – there is an option to Modify or Uninstall the program. Chose Modify and follow the wizard to run a repair on that program!! Worked a treat for me so hope this will help someone else too.
If you open an attached email, you would find the send button is grayed out. Do you know why? How can you deal with this issue? When it comes to attachments, pictures, documents and zip files will occur to our mind in the first place. While we need to note that emails, irrespective of draft, received or sent emails, can be attached to a new message as well.In attempt to forward several emails, we can treat these emails as attachments to a new message and then forward it. Undoubtedly, the recipient will get only one message attached with many emails.
It is convenient for both senders and recipients. I have ever received this kind of message, which is attached with another email. After received it, I just opened it to do a further revision. Later I attempted to send the revised emails back.
I found that the send button is grayed out. It meant that I couldn’t send it.Why Send Button Is Inactive in an Attached EmailActually email attachment is usually opened as Read-Only in message. Hence we can’t send or forward it directly in the received email. In order to send it, we need save it to an email folder at first. It can be achieved by dragging and dropping. We should locate the attached email in the reading pane. Then click it and hold the mouse, dropping it to the target email folder.
Later we can open it from the folder and send it out successfully.Method to Resend an Attached EmailAnother way is to send it by “Forward” button. Therefore, to start with we should add “Forward” to Quick Access Toolbar. At the very outset, go to “File” menu and select “Options”.
Then in “Outlook Options” window, we should switch to “Quick Access Toolbar”. Next in “Popular Command” field, choose “Forward” item and click “Add” button in center, adding it to the Quick Access Toolbar. Finally click “OK” to save it. After back to the opened email, we can click the “Forward” button in Quick Access Toolbar instead of Send button. What Should You Do after Outlook CorruptionsIf you’ve utilized Outlook program, you would discover that it is vulnerable to damage.

Firefox change audio output. I can switch outputs dynamically using pulse mixer. Most distros do use pulse by default. I believe any version of firefox (and any other application) does create a new stream in pulse. I've been personally resisting pulse for years and I've been able to redirect FF audio output using environment variables:Also if a USB card is plugged, at least on my distro (fedora but IIRC debian also that I used in the past) it became the default. I am using ff 51 ATM and I see a separate stream in pulse mixer for each youtube video I start playing.
Hi Experts,In Outlook 2016 running on Windows 10 when Outlook 2016 is set to ‘work offline’ (i.e. Within the Send/Receive menu Work offline) and within a new email message when trying to insert a file attachment (i.e. Insert Attach file) underneath the ‘Recent items’ list we get a message that says “The connection to the server is unavailable. Attachment options for recent files may be limited“ and either no network files are shown or the network files are grayed out and not selectable.
(Same behavior seen if the laptop has no network connection). We run an Exchange 2010 setup in house. The network share where users store there file has offline files configured and works fine. Manually browsing to the network files via windows explorer & opening the files when the laptop has no network connection also works fine so the offline files part is working fine so don’t think its related to this.In outlook If we click on the button ‘Browse this PC’ underneath the insert Attach file) we can browse to the network files manually (i.e the offline file share) and successfully insert the file(s) into the email. However this unfortunately isn’t really a suitable solution for what the company is wanting. This does however seem to prove that the network files in question are accessible offline. We use folder redirection to redirect local file to a network share. We don’t use roaming profiles.I wonder if this is perhaps some sort of odd bug with Outlook and the Recent items list within the attach file menu when working offline?
Outlook Attachments Greyed Out
See screenshot attached.Any suggestions please on what could be causing this and/or any possible solutions would be greatThanks. Thanks for the update. So to confirm this is just the behavior of Outlook 2016?using the Quick Access menu in Windows 10 and the recent file list seems to work fine even when outlook 2016 is set to offline - network files (i.e setup as offline files) can be inserted into an email using the following steps:1. In Outlook Click Home New Email to create a new email.2. In the new Message window, click Insert Attach File Click ‘Browse This PC’3.
In Insert File dialog box click on the ‘Quick Access’ link. Then you will see a list of recent files from which you can select fromIt seems a little strange network file (i.e offline files) are displayed and seleactable in this list but not in the recent file list in outlook 2016 but maybe this is just down to the software design of outlook 2016 and how its meant to behave?
